.

is growing in a FAST kinda way

and the expiration date is slowly coming to a close.

With this said, this little momma is busy organizing, redecorating and I do believe I have worn down the bristles on the broom, I have swept so much:)))

But I am determined to get this house sparkling to perfection before this littles makes her GRAND entrance :))

My friends, the count down is on -to ME anyways!!! 5 weeks, 3 days....that's 38 DAYS PEOPLE!!!! And I am OVER the MOON excited!!!

That's 38 days to finish our bathroom reconstruction....enjoy in what I know will be the most FABULOUS baby shower celebrated with some of my closest friends and wonderful family....FINALLY complete little Miss R's room ....and lastly, finish packing for our two night romantic get away -i.e...due date :)

All in all...I am a nervous, anxious mess!! But in the end, it will all work out and we will soon be celebrating the newest, cutest addition to our little family :)))

and honestly I couldn't be more ready , scared and unprepared as I am at this very moment!!!

Ready, because apparently I am slightly selfish when it comes to sharing my personal space and our wee tiny girlfriend is definitely making herself comfortable!

Upside is....she makes me smile with every poke, stab and random jive she does!

Scared, because it is slowly settling in that I am, in fact, going to be a mommy!!!! That I am going to be responsible for this tiny human and the kind of person she turns out to be. It is slowly becoming real that when she FINALLY makes her big debut and I get tired or frustrated, I won't get to hand her over to the parents. I AM THE PARENT!!!!

Upside is.... I am not alone. I get to experience this crazy, glorious ride with one of the most spectacular men God has ever put on earth!!! He has surpassed any expectation I had in a spouse and I KNOW for a fact that he will blow his new role as R's Daddy OUT OF THE WATER!!!! With him by my side and in my corner, I know we'll make it through this God sent adventure :)

Unprepared, because the closer we get to R's due date, the longer my damn "to-do list" gets and for the life of me I cannot figure out why???? Shouldn't the list get smaller over time???? And when am I going to get to partake in this whole "rest" thing pregnant women are suppose to do in the last few months prior to delivery????

Upside is...... the hubs has tried taking on A LOT of my "wifely duties" which has taken a lot of stress off of me:) AND is working over time at home to try and get most of our projects done before go time :))))

Picture TIME.....

How far along: 30 weeks, 4 days.....65 days to go!!!

Size of R? a head of cabbage, about 15.7 inches long and almost 3 pounds

Maternity clothes? Let's get real!!! Mommas got front and definitely NOT fitting in pre-pregnancy anything!!!!

Weight gain??? Totally NOT answering this one anymore!!!!

Stretch Marks? None, nada, ZIP.....thus far anyways

Gender? sweet baby girl

Sleep? Lately I've been the one doing the snoring -per hubby-  But this means Momma is sleeping HARD. So this probably means Momma needs to SLOW DOWN!!!

Food cravings?? Nothing out of the ordinary.

What I miss?? SLEEPING ON MY STOMACH!!!!

Symptoms? Braxton Hicks and dry skin

Belly Button? That damn thing has been gone for a LONG time :)

Best moment of the week? Getting a few more things done in R's room and making a little more room for her in the kitchen!!!

Its all still so surreal to me! Sometimes I can't even imagine being responsible for a whole other life! A life that is so tiny and so incapable of doing anything for themselves!! And other times I feel ready, mostly because I can't breathe anymore but also because im ready for the challenge! Im ready to look into her eyes! Im ready to be more in love with one little life than I could ever imagine! Im ready! Im ready to be R's mommy!
How far along? 26 weeks, 3 days..... 94 days to go!
Size of Miss R? Head of lettuce!!! She is ranging between 13.6-14.8 inches long and anywhere from 1.5-2.5 pounds!
Maternity clothes? Like I've said before, I've luckily been able to use my pre-maternity tops, but it looks like this growing belly is needing a little extra fabric :(
Weight gain? Still do not have an exact number since I haven't gone to the doctor, but come this Thursday im sure my head will spin at the 3 digits I see :((
Stretch marks? None so far, thank you Jesus! !
Gender? Little girl, little girl, little girl!!!
Sleep? Is a pain! Literally!!! My legs hate bed time!!!
Food cravings? Im a salsa whore!!! And im digging cereal.
What I miss? im pretty sure you all know this by now, since I've said it over and over, but im missing my waist line, wine and tummy sleeping!
Symptoms? My legs fall asleep all the time and swell if I stand too long.
Belly button? What's that??? I forget :)
Best moment of the week? Our first shower! Spending time with people who love and support us! And seeing the belly move FROM THE OUTSIDE!!!! -Greg totally got a kick out of that!

This past weekend, I had my first baby shower!

A first that couldn't have turned out any better!!!

From the personalized napkins.....

to the beautiful decor......

(Amber did an AMAZING job on R's wreath!!! I cannot wait to hang it on the door of our hospital room)

to the wonderful food.....

( :(((( I am missing my beautiful cousin, Ashley, in this picture, who had to take care of one precious little boy.)

Two of my favorite High School ladies :))

R's Mimi and Auntie Bob!!!! Two of the MOST loving and giving ladies any little girl could ask for :)))

The LOOT!!!!

R was SOOOO spoiled this weekend!!! So much so, that G and I nearly couldn't fit everything in the car!!!!

Can you believe that tomorrow we will officially be in the double digit count down till our sweet little R makes her BIG debut?!?!?

I know I can't!!!!

It truly seems like yesterday that Greg and I were jumping up and down over those tiny two lines on that pee stick!!!

However, G and I are absolutely ready to put her name to her face!!! We often sit and daydream about what it will be like when she finally gets here. What she may look like, red hair or brown, blue eyes or brown, light skin or dark!! It really is a miracle that there is a tiny human growing daily inside my very own being....GOD really is amazing!!!

Lately, R has been very active and her mommy and daddy can't keep their hands off of her!!! We love it!!! We're thinking we might have one heck of a gymnast on our hands :)

Mommy has finally finished one of her walls in her room....which I am in LOVE with!! And its complete with special flowers to remember R's Great Grandma.

All we need now are pictures of our precious littles!!

It seems the further I get into my pregnancy, the more proud I grow of my ever growing baby bump! Maybe because I am reminded daily that my little lamb is in there....maybe because I am finally understanding that I am actually BLESSED to be going through this experience.....or maybe its because I have finally realized that I can't fight how large I feel, so I might as well get over it and enjoy it!

And here we are today the BIG milestone......

How far along? 25 weeks, 4 days.....100 DAYS TO GO!!!!! Greg and I have A LOT to do and apparently NOT a lot of time to get it done!!!!

Size of our littles?? 13.5 inches long and she weighs about 1.5 pounds

Maternity clothes? I am a broken record on this one!!! Maternity bottoms all the way and I have recently joined the legging loving gang!!!! -why the hell have I waited so long to join this trend??? MOST comfortable thing EVER!!!!

Weight gain?? Honestly, don't know. Haven't been to the doctor again!!! But I assure you its plenty!!

Stretch marks?? Nope. But still a-rubbing the lotion on daily!!!

Gender??? GIRL!!!!

Movement?? She's an active little one most of the time!!! And has a particular liking to sitting (or laying) on her Mommy's bladder!!!!

Sleep?? Sleep is getting better, I guess. My legs still go numb and rolling over to alter sides is becoming more and more difficult :)

Food cravings?? Nothing out of the ordinary!! In general G and I, together, are trying to make healthier choices -most of the time FAILING miserably!!

What I miss?? Sleeping tummy style!!!!

Symptoms?? Dry skin!

Best moment of the week?? Finishing R's wall and mobile, making it feel more and more like her very own room!!

How far along? 23 weeks, 6 days.....112 days to go!
Size of the little one? A LARGE mango, this week. Im not quite sure what's the difference in a small and large one is but ill go with it :) sweet R is measuring just over a pound and is more than 11 inches in length!!
Maternity clothes? Still haven't splurged on any tops but if what I read is true, girlfriend and I are about to DOUBLE in size. Let's just hope she does most of the doubling!!!!
Weight gain? At the last appt. It was around 17 pounds!!
Stretch marks? Nope, and thanking my lucky stars
Gender? Still a little girl!
Movement? She has definitely become more active!  And her mommy is LOVING it!!
Sleep? Lately im not sure if I've just been plum worn out or if i have actually been sleeping better, either way,  its been wonderful!!
Food cravings? Nothing particular! Im just liking to eat in general :))))
What I miss? Not having a million different projects going on!!!! But this littles is totally work it!!
Symptoms? Achy back, swollen legs and leg cramps!! Its a glorious life!!
Best moment of the week? Finally coming to the decision on R's crib and relieving myself of that dreaded task!!! AND.....that we received her NEW crib in from her wonderful Grandma Rub Rub (short for Ruby, pronounced like Roob Roob) and Poppy!!! I love it and absolutely sure she will too!!

And then you wake up one day and it ALL becomes TOTALLY worth it...

worth it because you'll feel your little's tiny kicks and turns.....

Then eventually, you find yourself closely resembling Al Bundy because you can't seem to get enough of her constant movement!! And it is completely, COMPLETELY the single most wonderful feeling you thought you could ever possibly feel!

This week is no different than the previous.....as in...I STILL cannot believe there is a tiny human- little girl to be exact- growing inside my very own being!!!! It is WILD and rewarding and exhausting all and the same time! And Greg and I couldn't be more anxious to meet our sweet girl than we are right now!
We haven't made any progress on littles room, AT ALL, but this mommy has plans of putting her crafty hat on and getting busy!!! Late April, early May will be here before we know it and that is kinda freaking me out a bit :)
How far along? 21 weeks, 5 days.....126 days to go!!!
Size of R? A banana...weird, right?? But they say she is 10.5 inches long and about 12.2 ounces!!!
Maternity clothes? Luckily, im still able to get by with my pre-maternity tops and a few new larger non maternity tops. But I do see a shopping day coming up soon, because baby girl definitely isn't getting any smaller!!
Weight gain? Last weight surprised the hell out of me, meaning it was still showing 12 pounds!!!!! Which is exciting and depressing all rolled into one ;)
Stretch marks? None thus far and hoping it stays that way!
Gender? A sweet little Girl!
Sleep? Its getting better, I think. Greg and I added a foam top to the already padded mattress, so here's to hoping that works!
Food cravings? Salty, sweet and spicy! Lol....Greg teases that R is going to pop out doing a Salsa dance (while doing his best impression of Salsa dancing- too cute) with as much spicy food that I eat!!
What I miss? Honestly, regular bathroom visits....if you know what I mean! And definitely my waist line;)
Symptoms? Lack of energy to do....anything!!!! Hence the reason for living in filth and not getting very far on R's room.  But have no fear...it will get done, one day ;)
Best moment of the week? Being able to share our baby bump with Greg's family over the Christmas break, especially his grandmothers! !! OHHH!!!! And getting my o' so VERY awesome diaper bag from my sweet sister-in-law!!!!!!

Here you are pregnant with an awesome little girl and you aren't enjoying it to the fullest!  Yes, your grateful that God chose you for this little one and yes your grateful that your time has finally come to be a mommy! But loosen up!
Enjoy these last few months you have your hubby all to yourself! Hold hands, go on dates, and snuggle on the couch as much as possible! Because when little girl comes, these times will come few and far between!
Be proud of that ever growing baby bump!  Its yours!!! You prayed hard for it! Its heaven sent and its beautiful! Show it off!! Stand tall!! And stop calling it fat!!! :( Prance around the house naked if you want!  Be Sexy if you want! Whatever you do, be proud! Your hubby is! And that's your baby girl in there!
Stop worrying!!!!! Everything will get done in time! It will be perfect, and if it isn't, so what?? R will be!! And she wont love you any less! And know that God is forever looking over your precious angel! So give him some credit, and stop worrying!!! Its in His hands and He happens to be perfect!! And really good at what he does!
And lastly.... indulge if you want to, exercise if you want, don't exercise if you want, eat ice cream morning, noon or night if you want! But stop being your worst critic! You are growing a human and you deserve to splurge!! Don't worry,  you'll work it all off once she is here and you'll be perfect!
Love yourself and the fact that your able to have this experience!
Yours truly,
Rebecca

Our world changed forever!!! For the BETTER!!!!

WHY?!?!?....

because yesterday

we found out that this precious little that we have been dreaming about, praying to GOD about and planning ahead for, is a little.......
