.

I am two weeks in to my HEALTHY life transformation.

Since the arrival of my first Shakeology package, I have stayed consistent with my new morning ritual.

One chocolate shake with maybe a few hard boiled eggs, or sometimes I treat myself to a bowl of low-carb oatmeal. Nonetheless, ALWAYS Shakeology.

HOLY MOLY!!! I feel it, people!! I feel the difference in starting my day with ACTUAL nutrition!

I have less "bad" cravings throughout the day, more energy, and REGULARITY (TMI, I know, but hey, that is always important!)

**I still need to work on getting my recommended amount of water intake in check**

I have to say that there is nothing more empowering than to see your mindset, your strength, and your own willpower play out the way you always wanted.

**Keep in mind as you read along through my journey, that these small victories are HUGE to me! I have lived a life of being a small, petite person. I have never had a full on struggle with weight, nor have I experience any major health issues. However, as I get older, my energy levels, and my firmness have faded. I haven't felt "great" in a long time, and have had medical testings several times and all is normal, except, I haven't been taking care of ME for a long time. **

Moving on to MY REASON.....

SHE ^ is MY reason!!!

I want to be a healthy fit mom, a mom that my Daughter looks up to. A mom that has endless energy to play and run! I do not want her to look back on her childhood and remember Mommy watching her play from the couch. I want to take her places, WITH actual enjoyment because I'm not focused on how TIRED I am.

HE ^ is my reason!

I want to be a wife that doesn't shy away from sexy time in broad daylight! I want to see the world (or our own town), without being winded, or looking for an excuse to nap :) I want to be an example for him to be healthy, too. I want to grow old in my best shape, so we can experience retirement without health hindrances from my own doing.

ME is my reason!

I want to look in the mirror and LOVE what I see, hands down.

I am enough! I want to become a better me for ME!
I want a life of adventure, good deep belly laughs, and self admiration for my own personal strengths and achievements.

Strength!

I'll be honest, I lack strength in self control and determination when it comes to fitness!

I have spent the last couple of weeks getting my mind prepared for my first Fitness Challenge. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous, but mostly, I am excited for the changes to come, the friendships I am building and the large circle of women who are keeping me accountable for my actions!

SELF LOVE!

When I think about why I made the decision to start my Beachbody journey, my only thought is.... Why did I not start sooner?!?

From the outside, people see a petite woman who should be thankful she doesn't struggle with weight. Who can eat what she wants and all is happy and well.

Who am I kidding?!?!

I have NO damn idea what day I am technically on

Nor have I been doing "my thang" consecutively!

I know!! Shame on me!

But let's face it
I HATE WORKING OUT!!!

and it takes more effort for me to put on workout clothes than it does to actually workout!

The good news is, that I have worked out more times than not!

Bad news is, that if I don't quit talking myself out of said workout, I'll NEVER get anywhere!!!!

Why can't working out be like eating chocolate!??!?!

SO decadent from start to finish!

Painless and pure heaven!

You feel me?!

Let's hope for better progress to come!!

Day two was a normal day.

Busy at work

rushed to pick up little girl

then headed home to a messy house!

(it is NEVER clean anymore)

Ate a terrible dinner of pizza!

WORSE pre-work out food ever!!!

Blame it on my laziness!

BUT don't ever follow in my foot steps of pizza before workout!!! EVER!!!

But I trudged on.

Did my workout!

could definitely tell I ate all the wrong stuff and didn't drink near enough water!

Then quickly after, as my heart rate started to normalize, I started feeling sick!

Yes, I blamed the food!

Not me, of course :)

Went to bed, still sick!

Woke up with a stomach bug!

Thank you, Hubby!!!!

So I missed the next 2 days while recuperating.

SUCKSSSS to be sick and sore as hell at the same time!!!

Achy and stiff = NO FUN!!!

Life went on.

I got well.

and proceeded with confidence today(day 3)!

Workout felt easier...after only 3 workout + 2 skip days!

ate better throughout the day! I think that might have a lot to do with my tempo throughout!

Obviously dont see any change yet.

But excited the workout seemed a little easier!

Small victories!!!

Yesterday was a typical Monday!

And if I had to be honest...kinda sucked!

I needed at least 4 additional sets of hands at work to take care of all the crap that was being thrown my way. NOT complaining (kinda am), I enjoy my job and thankful they need me and work so well around my crazy schedule. But sometimes it gets over whelming with the lack of time I spend in the office.

Baby is teething. or so we think!
And these are the tough ones, so its kinda upsetting our little babe's tummy. Which makes diaper changing EXTRA fun!
PLUS she is SUPER needy and all she wants is Momma!
Again, not complaining! I am OVERLY thankful I get to call myself her Momma and COMPLETELY grateful that she is mine!
Just sometimes this also gets over whelming when there are 186365454 other things I need to get done!

Laundry!
OODLES and gobs of it!

Husband was sick!
which, lets face it, means his world is ending!
This also means I had, what felt like, a TON of extra weight on my shoulders!
Pitiful! I tell you!

plus dinner and clean up
then bath and clean up

then MORE laundry!!!

Yeah...yesterday kicked ass!!!

Okay!!
So, I say all this to tell you that I made my mind up over the weekend that it was high time for me to get healthy!
I don't just mean be small.
I'll always be small.
Its just the way I was made *thank the Lord*
I mean...HEALTHY!
Like work that ass
and eat less potato chips!
ahhh...those potato chips! my weakness. and now on the fore front of my mind! Aghhh! :(

Anyhow....
Yesterday sucked!
And although I had my mind made up to work it out after bath and bed for the babe,
I was exhausted!
All I wanted to do after this LONG drawn out day, was SLEEP! or curl up on the couch!

BUT!!!!
I defeated my negative "I'll just start tomorrow" thoughts and pushed forward!
I concurred my own self!!!
(that's really half the battle)
and I worked it!
I pushed through my heavy breathing and weak arms (this girl is in terrible shape)
And I completed  Day 1!

SUPER proud of myself!!!

So! note to all tired and OVER exhausted Momma's out there!
push yourself!
for you and for that precious Babe!
and if you aren't a Momma just yet!
Push yourself!
We can all be healthier in some form or fashion!
Be your our boss! Make positive changes!!!
DO GOOD FOR YOU!!!!
